Background:

Alan initially worked in the Local Government sector as a trainee accountant before becoming Manager of a Credit Union.  Alan then moved on to work as a Law Clerk in a Newcastle suburban practice prior to being admitted as a Solicitor in 1983.

Prior to the establishment of Arnold Lawyers in 1996, Alan worked for national law firms such as Hunt & Hunt and Sparke Helmore. 

Alan’s primary focus has been in representing  employers (businesses) and insurance companies.

 

Darryl Browne, Solicitor

Background:

Darryl Browne graduated from Sydney University in 1978 and worked for a medium-sized Sydney CBD law firm, principally in security and banking, then subsequently involved in property litigation and thereafter in commercial and contractual litigation.

He was admitted to the Bar in 1983, engaged principally in commercial, equity and environment work.  He appeared as Advocate in a number of reported decisions and was involved in diverse commercial drafting and commercial litigation.

In 1987 he purchased a practice in Leura, where his young family had resided for the previous three years.  Initially, the practice performed conveyancing, family law, criminal law and probate work.  The practice expanded to included commercial work and personal injuries litigation.

In 1993 Darryl became an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law.  In 1999 he was appointed as a Costs Assessor in the Supreme Court.  He also completed courses in mediation and conflict resolution (1992) and has acted as mediator.

Darryl was admitted as a Notary Public in 1990 and appointed a Costs Officer in 1999, an Accredited Adjudicator in 2000 and District Court Arbitrator in 2001.  He is a claims Assessor with the Compensation Assessment Resolution Service.

Darryl has a commitment to legal education which has seen him lecture in Business Law at TAFE.  He has presented a programme on legal information on a local community radio station.  He has made presentations to legal conferences and has published a number of articles in legal journals.  He regularly gives talks to community groups.  Darryl has written many legal newsletters and prepared information sheets on common legal processes (such as the sale and purchase of property, wills, power of attorney and the like).

 Neil Anderson, Associate Solicitor

Background:

Neil has proved invaluable to our firm since emigrating to Australia in 2001.

Prior to Neil joining Richard Fry & Associates in December 2001 Neil first worked as an Articled Clerk in London and studied at The College of Law in London and Guildford.  Neil passed the Law Society’s Qualifying Examinations for Solicitors and was admitted as a Solicitor in January 1974.

Since Neil’s admission as a Solicitor he has been a Partner with Law Firms in Cheltenham and Gloucester, England.

While in England, Neil’s areas of expertise were Commercial Conveyancing and Commercial Litigation in all Courts including the House of Lords.  Neil also has experience with a large range of clientele as well as office administration and marketing.

Ronnie Wall, Law Clerk

Background:

Ronnie worked for International insurance companies in the area of Personal Injury claims and Litigation, before emigrating to Australia from Ireland.

Ronnie’s qualifications include: a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from the University of Limerick, Republic of Ireland; a Bachelor of Arts (Public Administration) (Honours); and a Diploma in Insurance Practices.

Ronnie is currently studying his Bachelor of Laws.
